Healthy Family Meals

In order for us to feel healthy and for our bodies to work properly we need to eat a balanced diet that includes all of the food groups below:

  • carbohydrates from bread, cereal, rice, potatoes and pasta,
  • vitamins, minerals and fibre from fruit and vegetables,
  • dairy from cheese, yoghurt and milk,
  • protein from beans, pulses, fish, eggs and meat, and
  • six to eight cups of water, milk or sugar-free drinks a day.
